Kiddie Guardz was born when an ordinary barber from Williamsport, KY woke from a dead sleep around 3:00 am with a vision.

My name is Mike Jarrell and I was that barber. For years I, like everyone else in the haircutting industry, have faced the battle of kids who were afraid of the clippers.

My go to technique was to pretend I was driving monster trucks on my young clients’ heads and I have been very successful doing that.

One night around 3:00 am I literally woke from a dead sleep and thought, "It would be awesome if my clipper guards looked like monster trucks!"

I jumped up, started sketching, and the Kiddie Guardz journey began!

Fast forward a couple of years and Kiddie Guardz went from a middle-of-the-night thought to a product on the market.
