Hair Festival 2024 Recap!

Posted by Salon Cosmetics on 5th Jul 2024

What an epic weekend of creativity and community we experienced at Hair Festival Sydney!

The ICC was the venue for the third instalment of the rebranded Hair Festival and the event didn't disappoint.

Salon Cosmetics was represented with a stand dedicated to DANGER JONES and COLORTRAK brands, offering live education, special offers, giveaways and a fun vibe that was a hit amongst visitors.

The "DANGER JONES SHOW" Education Session on Sunday 30th June was SOLD-OUT with over 200+ attendees filling every seat, with more standing along the aisles and people having to be turned-away unfortunately due to the rooms capacity!

The summary of The DANGER JONES SHOW by Shannon Guss from Instyle Magazine provides just a snippet of what was featured: "Alexis Thurston, Mary Ott, Jessica Powers, Holly Sharpe, Kate McFarlane and Lexie Shay put on a rock show in hair form. In both cut and colour, they gave tips for blending and layering, broke down the formula for various looks and discussed branding, theming and aesthetic. They taught not to rush the finished style after the colour and to showcase the colour at its best. Espousing the benefits of social media, the team also referred to social media feeds as the “pre-consultation”, where clients can see your work and find your niche, so you can build your brand within a brand."

We had over 16 models completed between our education session and stand, by the following International Artists:

- Alexis Thurston
- Jessica Powers
- Mary Ott

Plus the following Australian artists:

- Lexie Shay
- Kate Macfarlane
- Holly Sharpe
- Haley Edwards
- Hollie Evans
- Kyanne Bismarck
- Marco Venancio

Thank you to all of our amazing models who were patient during the hours of prep work completed, without complaint and for looking absolutely stunning on stage!

We also had a host of amazing helpers from Vault Ninety One, B'Me Hair, Chameleon New Age Salon and Holly Evans assisting with model prep.

Thank you to DunGud for arming our artists with some of the best Australian made styling products, Comfortel for providing us with cutting stools to utilize on our stand, Danny Apf from 1050 Collective for his epic photography and videography skills!

Last but not least, thank you to our Salon Cosmetics family for all of their help both before, during and after this massive weekend. We couldn't do any of this without you!

With plans already in works for a bigger and better Hair Festival 2025, we can't wait to see you all again in Sydney!
